Linebarger Recognized for Attorney Diversity

The Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University honored Linebarger for its commitment to diversity in the legal profession at the law school’s 2023 Legacy Ball. The annual event brings the Houston community together to provide scholarships to deserving students.

Linebarger employs a total of 17 Thurgood Marshall School of Law alumni, which accounts for 13% of all of the firm’s attorneys. Among our firm owners, 20% are TMSL alumni.

Linebarger is one of the most diverse law firms in the nation, with 60% of our ownership among women and/or people of color.

TMSL aumni Pamela Pope Lee, Capital Partner in the Dallas office, and Mark Harris, Capital Partner in the Philadephia office, accepted the award on the firm’s behalf.

For almost 70 years, the Thurgood Marshall School of Law has been a catalyst for equality, diversity, and opportunity in the legal profession, consistent with the values and ideals of Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first black justice appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
