LaVonda Russell provides litigation and client support from the firm’s Dallas office, bringing years of experience across the legal profession and the financial services industry.

Ms. Russell graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Business. After graduating, she entered into a career in the financial services industry for a number of years before beginning law school.

She graduated Cum Laude from Texas Southern Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2014 with her Doctor of Jurisprudence and later attended and graduated with her LL.M. from American University Washington School of Law in 2015. She is licensed in Texas, Washington D.C., and the United States District Court of the Northern District of Texas.

Shortly after returning to Dallas, she opened the Law Office of LaVonda Russell, where she practiced in probate, estate planning, and consumer law. Since opening her practice, she has been an active member of the Dallas Bar Association, the J. L. Turner Legal Association, and has been a board member of the J.L. Turner Legal Association Foundation since 2019. Ms. Russell has also previously served as the Legislative Director for a Texas State Representative. LaVonda is active in her community volunteering with a variety of local organizations and non-profits.
