Linebarger Austin Team Serves Community Throughout 2023
November 15, 2023
Linebarger has a long and well-established commitment to supporting the communities we serve. The firm’s headquarters, located in Austin, Texas, took an important step to bolster that commitment this year by formally establishing a Community Engagement Committee. The Austin office’s CEC works closely with Austin leadership to identify and plan events and projects that meaningfully support Austin-area residents.
“Austin staff members have donated more than 100 hours of their time to volunteer projects with local non-profits, and I’m incredibly grateful for their leadership and commitment to this mission,” says Paul D. Chapa, Managing Partner of Linebarger’s Austin office and Management Committee member. “The Central Texas Food Bank, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Austin Child Guidance Center have been outstanding partners and have given us a glidepath to further our mission for the community and bring staff together this year. I’m looking forward to continuing this work and expanding our impact in 2024.”
In April, ten Austin volunteers spent the morning tending the healing garden at the Austin Child Guidance Center, which provides high-quality mental health services for children and their families.
This summer, Linebarger employees prepared breakfast and lunch for more than 25 people at the Central Texas Ronald McDonald House, which provides lodging and services to families with critically ill and injured children staying in local hospitals.
This October and November, Austin staff helped assemble more than 14,000 meals through the Central Texas Food Bank, which serves families across 21 surrounding counties. The meals will be distributed this holiday season.
Thank you to all of our partners and staff for your contributions this year. We look forward to building on this momentum with more community service events and projects in the coming year.
