Katy Estrada Named Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs

Linebarger welcomes Katy Estrada as its new Deputy Director of Governmental Affairs. In her new role, Estrada will support Linebarger’s government relations strategy, cultivating relationships with key lawmakers and stakeholders and advocating for the firm’s interests.

Estrada joins Linebarger from the Texas Association of Counties, where she served as Associate Director of Legislative Services and Legislative Consultant for six years. She brings extensive experience in both the public and private sectors of Texas government. As a governmental affairs consultant for Davis Kaufman PLLC, Estrada developed legislative strategies, conducted policy research, and advised on legislation. She began her career in the Texas House of Representatives’ Office of the Committee Coordinator before moving on to positions as committee clerk and committee director for the Texas House Committee on County Affairs.

Katy Estrada earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Texas Tech University in 2008. She also holds a Master of Public Administration from Texas State University.
